Oblique IS 5290 Type A valves are landing valves that are used in fire hydrant system. They are designed for primary fire fighting applications. Oblique valves are located at discharge points in tall buildings where water is supplied via wet risers. A lay flat hose is connected to the landing valve to provide water to the fire location.
